Whitney "Santiago" Larue Woodley

February 18, 1987 - October 4, 2023

Whitney Larue (Santiago) Woodley, 36, wife of Lonzel L. Woodley, Sr., of Summit Drive, Waynesboro, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at her residence.
     Mrs. Woodley was born in Staunton, Virginia on February 18, 1987, a daughter of Angela Mae (Moats) Tabler.
     Whitney was a 2005 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School where she played basketball and excelled in volleyball. Her talent in volleyball earned her a full scholarship to Methodist College. She enjoyed photography and spending time with her family.
     Whitney was preceded in death by a sister, Jasmyne Hayslett; maternal grandfather, Gerald Moats; paternal grandfather, Lester Tabler; and father-in-law, James Woodley.
     In addition to her mother of Crimora, and her husband of seven years, Whitney is survived by her four children, Lonzel Woodley, Jr., Lathan James Woodley, Ariann Bennett and Nylah J. Woodley, all at home; her stepfather, Jeremy P. Tabler of Crimora; three brothers, Jonah Santiago of Richmond, Ronin Tabler and Titus Tabler, both of Crimora; a sister, Shantee L. Bryant of Clearwater, Florida; maternal grandmother, Vera Moats of Stuarts Draft; paternal grandmother, Mary Tabler of Fort Defiance; a nephew, Aiden Tabler; mother-in-law, Katrina Scott; and numerous cousins.
     The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
     A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Church on the Hill by Pastor Andrew Williams.
     Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
     Active pallbearers will be Ronin Tabler, Titus Tabler, Jonah Santiago, Corey Spiller, Andre Spiller and Christian Rodney.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is handling her arrangements.
