Wendy Colvin

Wendy Leigh Colvin, 54, of Maurertown, VA passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center. 

Wendy was born in Winchester, VA on May 13, 1971, daughter of Jack A. Colvin and the late Mary Ann Ordakowski. She was a graduate of Strasburg High School and member of Gravel Springs Lutheran Church.  She retired from International Automotive Components in Strasburg with 30 years of service.  Wendy loved NASCAR racing, NFL football, and her church family at Gravel Springs Lutheran Church.  She was preceded in death by her biological mother and stepfather Mary Ann Ordakowski and Doug Hockman along with a special nephew Douglas “Butch” Hodson.

Survivors include her parents Jack A. and Shirley Colvin; her sister Anne Marie Tevault; her brother D.J. Hockman (Tiffany); her stepbrothers Ralph Neff, Jr. (Debbie), Rickie Neff, Michael Neff (Robin); her special cousin and dear friend Gloria Frye; her nephew Thad Hodson (Kathleen) and great nephew Thornton.

A funeral service for Wendy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Gravel Springs Lutheran Church with Rev. Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. 

Pallbearers will be Thad Hodson, Rob Russell, Glen Tevault, Shawn Smith, Gene Boyce, and Lisa Evans.
