Wayne Kimble
Wayne Leslie Kimble, age 85 of Arthur, WV passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.
Wayne was born on November 21, 1938 in Smoke Hole, WV and was a son of the late Leslie Brison Kimble and Edna Jane (Landes) Kimble.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lou Kimble in 2013; one sister, Lois VanMeter; six brothers, Ora “Bill” Kimble, Evers “Eb” Kimble, Curtis Kimble, Paul Kimble, James Kimble and Dewey Kimble.
Wayne retired from Buffalo Coal Company in 2004. Wayne was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. Wayne’s hobby was making homemade wine which he enjoyed sharing with friends. He loved spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Wayne attended Falls Assembly of God Church.

Two sons: Stacey Kimble of Waynesboro, PA
Brian Kimble of Falling Waters, WV
Two daughters: Carla “Becky” Wood (Steve) of Covington, VA
Dina Smith (Scott) of Petersburg, WV
Six Grandchildren, Kayla (Steven) Warner, Jessica Kopple (Brian Garland), Justin (Kelsey) Smith, Lucas Smith (Emma Baker), Evan Kimble and Chad Kimble.
One Great Granddaughter, Lennon Smith
Two sisters: Juanita Evans (Gene) of Maysville, WV and Jane Sites (Dick) of Petersburg, WV
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Wayne’s family will receive friends Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.
Funeral service will be Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Vivan Watts Officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lahmansville Cemetery.
