Wanda Sager
Wanda June Sager, formally of Strasburg, VA, passed away on June 25, 2025, in Berryville, VA.
Mrs. Sager was born in Edinburg, VA on February 11, 1930, a daughter of the late Elmer Erasmus and Frances Rosenberger Miller. She was a homemaker, gardener, and substitute teacher as well as an artist with many of her paintings proudly displayed in the homes of her family. Gatherings at Grandma Sager’s were a highlight on many Sunday afternoons. She loved to travel and bought artwork wherever she went. She was a past member of the Beau Knot Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Eugene Sager, her son Donald Eugene Sager, Jr., and step mother Frances Bowen Miller.
Survivors include her daughters Diane Pifer (Richard), Suzanne Mathews, Patrica Stickley (Galen), Kelly Sager (Nicholas Racey); her grandchildren Richard Pifer, Jr. (Jennifer), Courtlin Pifer (Nicole), Brandon Pifer (Katie), Jamie Lewis, Christopher Mathews, Ashley Crabill, Lacey Stickley, Zachary Stickley (Iris), Anna Racey Sager; her great grandchildren Richard, Harrison, Isabella, Scarlett, Gabrielle, Landon, Henlee, Charlie, Beckett, Ella, Madelyn, Avery, Avianna, Caden, Tristan, Laelia, Everly, Grayson, Bryson, Lillah; her sister Janice Heishman and her friend Burgess Dellinger.
Services for Mrs. Sager will be conducted privately.
