Thomas W. Riley
CHURCHVILLE – Thomas William Riley, 76, husband of Iris Hodge Riley, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in his home.
Thomas was born in Clifton Forge on December 19, 1948, a son of the late William Robert Riley and Piney Lee (McGlothlin) Riley. He was a graduate of Millboro High school, and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served our country in Germany. He was a member of Millboro Christian Church, and retired from the maintenance department of Augusta Health.
Tom loved hunting and fishing, and working outdoors, and greatly enjoyed his John Deere tractors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Dean Riley; and three sisters, Linda Riley Nofsinger, Shirley Riley Campbell, and Dinah Riley Whiting.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 55 years are his son, Stacy Riley and wife Rebecca of Deerfield; his daughter, Michelle Cupp and husband Neil of Dayton; a sister, Helen Riley Lesley of Lexington; two grandchildren, Jacob Riley and fiancée Hailey of Millboro, and Makayla Cupp of Dayton; and also a great-grandson, Daxton, on the way.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3 in Green Hill Cemetery in Churchville, officiated by the Rev. Kevin Persinger.
