Thomas Edward Eye

Thomas Edward Eye Sr., 70, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

He was born on November 18, 1955, and was a son of the late David Eye and Peggy (Griffith) Sheffer.

Thomas had worked as a salesperson for Thom Mcan before retiring. He served his country honorably in the US Army.

Thomas was united in marriage to Diwanna (Salmons) Eye, who survives.

Thomas is also survived by three children, DeAnna (Jon) Smith, Devan (Keith) Deeds, and Thomas "TJ" (Danielle) Eye, Jr.; grandchildren, Seneca Sampson, Draygen Deeds, Gabriel Smith, and one on the way; brothers, Roger (Debbie) Eye, Danny Eye, Donnie (Alana) Dove, Jr., and Randy (Laura) Harman; sisters, Theresa (Paul) Tutwiler, and Crystal Whetzel .

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Mabe.

The family will receive friends between 6pm - 8pm, on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

A memorial service will be held between 2:00 - 5:00 PM, Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Briery Branch Church of the Brethren Activity Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
