Theresa Lynn (Puckett) Bowling
Theresa Lynn (Puckett) Bowling, 57, of Cold Springs Road, Raphine, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in Augusta Health, Fishersville.
Ms. Bowling was born on February 3, 1968 in Staunton, Virginia a daughter of Joyce Ann (Butler) Puckett and the late Joseph Carlton Puckett.
Theresa was a member of Marlbrook Baptist Church and was employed with Cornerstone Building Brands as a machine operator. She enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. She spent time watching the Hallmark and ID channels.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Lee Smith, Jr.
Surviving in addition to her mother is a son, Jonathan D. Chittum, Jr.; a daughter, Brandi Deseree Bowling and fiancé Patrick Hord all of Raphine; her companion, William F. “Billy” Puffenbarger of Churchville; two brothers, Glenn “Wayne” Smith and wife Jennifer of Fairfield and Joseph M. Puckett and wife Jennifer of Blacksburg; two grandchildren, Annalyse and Steven; a best friend, Angela Mawyer; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jay Thorne.
Burial will follow in Concord Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Fairfield.
Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Chittum, Roger Bowling, Jr., Billy Puffenbarger, Wayne Smith, Patrick Hord, and Nick Heishman.
It is suggested those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942 or the Ronald McDonald House at UVA, 300 9th SW Charlottesville, Virginia 22903.
