Shirley Y. Dice

Shirley Ann Yeago Dice, 90, widow of Harry "HB" Dice, Jr., passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at King’s Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.
She was born on June 13, 1933, in Staunton to the late Clara and Charles Yeago.
Shirley graduated from Lee High School and then continued her education by receiving an associate degree from Dunsmore Business School. She and her husband co-owned Dice's along with their son Harry. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Staunton.Throughout her life, Shirley found joy in many activities. She had a passion for needlepoint and spent countless hours creating beautiful works of art with her skilled hands. Her talent and creativity were evident in every stitch she made. She also derived immense pleasure from tending to her garden, observing as flowers bloomed and vegetables thrived under her care.Shirley is survived by her loving sons, Harry Dice and his wife, Melissa, and Larry Dice and his wife, Diana.  Shirley adored her grandchildren, Scott and Hannah Dice, Allen Dice, Katie and Josh Nuckolls, Justin and Jennifer Rusmisel, along with numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren - they held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Michael "Mike" Dice.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Fort Defiance with The Reverend Doctor Evan Smith officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a favorite canine association of your choice.
