Shirley "Seal" Elizabeth Shakespeare

Shirley Elizabeth (Seal) Shakespeare passed October 4, 2023 inMcGaheysville, Virginia surrounded by her loving family.

Born October 9,1929 she grew up in Stephens City, Virginia.She attended nursing school in Washington DC in 1947. Graduating and passing her licensing board in 1950 her career took her from Washington, DC to New York City and

Richmond, Virginia. On April 3, 1954 she married the love of her life Franklin Bradford Shakespeare, a naval officer, at the Naval Academy Chapel.They had 3 children while moving around as a military family and then settled in Baltimore, Maryland in 1964. She worked as an Obstetricsnurse at Greater Baltimore Medical Center until the fall of 1989, lovingly caring for all her patients. They enjoyed traveling adventures, including a balloon ride and a cruise.

After 42 years in Towson, Shirley and Frank relocated to the HarrisonburgMcGaheysville Virginia area. She is survived by her devoted husbandFrank, their three children John (Tracy), Lesley (Glenn) Kukucka, Lisa(Michael) Whedbee, their seven grandchildren, and ten greatgrandchildren.
