Shirley Mae Branch

Shirley Mae Branch, 74, of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday, October 19th, 2023 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab in Fishersville.
Shirley was born in Virginia to Florence Mae (Campbell) Cline and Glenwood Cline on April 27th, 1949.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Branch, and a brother, Michael Cline.

Shirley is survived by her beloved children, Albert Dudley, Christopher Dudley and Mary “Rose” Szachnitowski with husband Brian; and her grandchildren, Brian Dudley, Corey Dudley and James Dudley. She is also survived by her niece, Tammy Davis; a sister, Kathy Groah with husband James; and special friend, Lisa Dillow.

Shirley will be remembered as a loving, spiritual women who raised three children. She was always very caring and protective towards her family and friends, even to her own detriment. She always focused on helping others. Shirley will also be fondly remembered for her unique sense of humor and character that earned her the nickname “Squirrely” to those who knew her best.

Following cremation, the family will hold a private time of reflection at a later date.
