Scarlett Elizabeth Freeman-Worrell
Scarlett Elizabeth Freeman-Worrell, infant daughter of Dariyann Elizabeth Freeman and Quinton Claude Laughon–Worrell, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Surviving, in addition to her parents of Staunton, is her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Freeman of Staunton; maternal grandfather, Rodney Freeman of Staunton; paternal grandparents, Claude Worrell and Kathryn Laughon of Charlottesville; maternal great-grandparents, Earl and Barbara Clifton and Rodney and Sylvia Freeman; paternal great-grandparents, Rodney and Susanne Huey; three uncles, Bradley Freeman and his children, Bradley, IV and Gwendolynn, Gabriel Freeman and his wife, Keylynn Garcia their children, Apollo and Elara, and Nadjeeb Chouaf; and an aunt, Althea Laughon-Worrell. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Staunton Seventh-Day Adventist Church by Pastor Karl Leukert. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens. In Scarlett’s memory guests are encouraged to wear pink. Though Scarlett's time on earth was brief, she was eagerly awaited, deeply loved, and treasured from the very beginning. She will forever be a precious daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, niece, and cousin, and her memory will be lovingly carried in the hearts of all who anticipated her arrival. Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
