Ruby Coffey
Ruby Nannie Coffey, 100 years of age, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at her home in Lyndhurst.
Ruby was born on August 13, 1924 in Nelson County to the late Forest A. Coffey and the late Eva M. Campbell Coffey.
Ruby was a lifetime member of Mountain Top Christian Church. She retired from Genicom-General Electric as a Line Operator.
She loved gardening and spending time with “her kids.”
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Houston (Nellie) Coffey, Madeline (Elmer) Hewitt, Louise (Ralph) Campbell and Richard Coffey.
Ruby is survived by her beloved nieces, Lee Fitzgerald, Jackie Hewitt, Jean Glass and her husband, Melvin, Bea Monroe and Bonnie Summers; nephews, Steven Campbell and his wife, Sharon and their children, and Mike Coffey and his wife Kim and their children; great niece, Kim Mize and her husband, David and their daughter, Kellie; great nephew, James “Mike” Fretwell and his wife, Wendy; great-great nieces, Jaime and her husband Hunter and their daughter, Madison, Donna, and Dreama and her husband, Andrew and their son, Wyatt; sister-in-law, Barbara Coffey and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Mountain Top Christian church where a funeral service will be held at 1:00pm conducted by Pastor Billy Coffey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Fretwell, David Mize, Hunter Curry, Mike Coffey, Jason Campbell and Levi Coffey.
