Family was foremost and important in Ronald’s life. The following expresses him best. . .as written by his grandson Daniel Pieta:
“We lost Grandpa Ronald Pieta this past Saturday at 94.“Dodad”, as he was nicknamed, taught me so much about family, work, and having fun.As a former Navy IC3 that went to work for GE and run his own power tool repair business in retirement, he was “Mr fix it”.He always had a well-tended garden, a love for Flounder fishing on the Chesapeake, authentic Polish kielbasa and pierogis, and his family.I can’t begin to scratch the surface of the lessons he passed down, but am proud that my kids got to know their great-grandfather, Pieta. He only missed the opportunity to hear of his next great-grandson Pieta’s birth by 4 days.We love you Dodad.”
A Memorial Service will be held at a date to be determined.
Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, Fishersville is serving the family.
