Roger Alan Huffman

Roger “Alan” Huffman, age 70, of Seneca Rocks, WV, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV.  He was born on May 1, 1953, the son of the late Ward and Betty (Haren) Huffman.  On June 24, 1972, Alan married his loving wife, June D. (Reed) Huffman who survives in Seneca Rocks.
Alan attended school in Seneca Rocks and Circleville High School.   After 44 years of service, he retired from Greer Lime as a Heavy Equipment Operator.  Upon retirement, he stayed busy with his love of hunting, especially with his family and watching WVU Football and NASCAR.  However, Alan’s greatest pleasure was his family, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  Alan will be remembered as a loving husband, family man, and friend.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a son, Jeremy Huffman of Circleville, WV; a sister, Judi McCoy (Tom) of New Creek, WV; 3 brothers, Bradley Huffman (Vickie) of Riverton, WV; Dan Huffman (Liz) of Seneca Rocks, Tom Huffman (Kathy) of Petersburg, WV; 2 Grandchildren, Dakota and Alayna Huffman.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Huffman
Mr. Huffman’s family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Tom Shaum officiating.  Interment will be in the North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.  Memorials may be made to the family, c/o the Basagic Funeral Home, POB 400 Petersburg, WV 26847.  Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com or on Facebook at Basagic Funeral Home.
