Robert Wright

Robert Withers Wright, Jr., 67, of Waynesboro went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at his home. He was born in Waynesboro of December 28, 1957, the son of Robert and Shirley Marshall Wright.

He was an “all-out” outdoorsman and he raised quail just for his love of birds.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert, his sister, Sharon, his brother Daniel and by his grandparents.

He is survived by his mother Shirley Wright; his wife of 47 years, Kathy Brooks Wright; his two sons and his daughter, Michael Wright and his wife, Erin and Joseph Wright and his wife, Tia and Jackie Lang and her husband, Eric; his 10 grandchildren that he loved so much, Gabriel, Austin and Octavia Wright, Natalie Shea, Max Lang, Alexis Lang, Noah Wright and Destiny and Theodore Wright; his three great-grandchildren who he loved so much, Zherella, Xantheus and Zharia Wight; his love and companion (his Buddy) Baron; his three sisters-in-law, Betty and her husband, Bob Colvin, Penny Brooks and Rob Watson, Tammy Stogdale and her husband, Jerry; one brother-in-law, Dean Brooks and his wife, Niki; his mother-in-law, Reba Ferebee; his two brothers, Larry Wright and his wife, Lori and Terry Wright; one sister, Lisa Knuckles and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was my life, my one love forever!

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, June 2, 2025 in the Chapel of the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Waynesboro. Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Austin Wright, Noah Wright, Joshua Wright, Noah Terrell, Sawyer Batton and Ashton Mace.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the funeral home.
