Robert Milford Borror

Robert “Bob” Milford Borror, age 73, of Maysville, WV, passed away on October 15, 2023 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.  He was born on January 10, 1950 in Petersburg, the son of the late Robert H. and Elva (Sites) Kesner Borror.  
Bob graduated from Petersburg High School in 1969 and attended Petersburg Presbyterian Church.  He worked as a painter in the Washington DC area.  Upon retirement he began restoring old furniture and helping at the Russ Hedrick Recovery Resource Center.  He loved gardening, plants, as well as his dog “Fred” and cat “Nellie”.  His family held a special place in his heart, especially his nieces and nephews.  Bob had a hard shell on the outside but a soft, tender heart on the inside. He was always willing to help anyone in need, friends, family, or strangers.  
Mr. Borror is survived by: 3 sisters, Marlene Alexander of Petersburg, WV; Darlene Rohrbaugh of Gettysburg, PA; Bonnie Shilling (Winford) of Moorefield, WV; 3 brothers, Richard “Dick” Borror (Sharron) of Petersburg, WV; Jess Kesner of Dorcas, WV; Herman L. Kesner (Linda) of Moorefield, WV; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine (Kesner) Cripe McGinley.
Bob’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, 5-7 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Channell officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Russ Hedrick Recovery Resource Center at 1812 North Fork Hwy.
