Robert Junior "Bob" Feaster

January 19, 1941 - June 29, 2023

Robert Junior “Bob” Feaster, age 82, of Burlington, WV, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at his home.  He was born on January 19, 1941 in Petersburg, WV, the son of the late Robert “Talley” Hester and Nina Leoda (Davis) Feaster.  Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Marie Feaster on March 11, 1991.
Mr. Feaster attended Petersburg High School and later received his GED in the military.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Upon his discharge, he began working as a machine operator in Baltimore, MD for Baltimore Wire Forming Co.  After retiring, Bob worked as an aid on a school bus route in Odenton, MD.  Bob and his wife Susan had a passion for helping those in need, especially children.  They fostered over 100 children and treated each one as their own.  A true West Virginian, Bob had a love for fishing, hunting, and shooting pool.  As he got older, he enjoyed sitting on his brother, Sonny’s, front porch watching the deer and wildlife.  He was a true family man who loved spending time with all his family and friends.  
Robert is survived by: a daughters, Robin Cousins (Kevin) of Glen Burnie, MD; 2 sons, Joshua Feaster of Curtis Bay, MD; James Bowman, Sr. (Linda) of Martinsburg, WV; a son-in-law, John Hammer of Baltimore, MD; 2 sisters, Betty Jane Martin (John) of Shelton, WA; Sue Durham of Burlington, NC; 3 brothers, Joe Feaster Davis (Margie) of Modesto, CA; Dale “Sonny” Feaster (Lynn) of Burlington, WV;  Doyell Feaster (Debbie) of Burlington, WV; 11 Grandchildren; and numerous Great-Grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Patricia Hammer; 3 brothers, Lee, Donny, and Jimmy Feaster; and a sister, Helen Baker.
Mr. Feaster’s family will receive friends on Monday, July 3, 2003 10 AM – 12 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Roger Leatherman officiating.  Interment will be at South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV with military honors bestowed by the US Army and Grant County Veteran Honor Guard.  Memorials may be made to the Foster Youth of America at http://www.fosteryouthofamerica.org.  Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com or on Facebook at Basagic Funeral Home.
