Robert David Howdyshell
Robert David Howdyshell, Jr., 66, of Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mr. Howdyshell was born in Staunton, Virginia on May 4, 1958, a son of the late Robert David “Buck” Howdyshell, Sr. and Phyllis Ann (Bartley) Howdyshell.
David retired after 33 years in the Augusta County Public School System in the maintenance department. He enjoyed hunting, dirt track racing, riding his motorcycle and working on trucks.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Howdyshell was preceded in death by a sister, Deanna Marie Howdyshell.
Surviving, are two sisters, Shelby Riley of Staunton and Sherry Hutchens and her husband, Bobby of Waynesboro; a brother, Daryl Howdyshell and his fiancé, Lisa of Stuarts Draft; his fiancée, April Cubbage; nieces, Michelle Hutchens, Megan Riley, and Kristina Birckhead; a nephew, Dustin Howdyshell; and his pet dog, “Harlie”.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in the Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery by Pastor Larry Strickler.
Active pallbearers will be Brian Kirby, James Doyle, Dwayne Rivenback, Earl McCray, Jr., Harry Chaplin, and Milton Bartley.
