Robert "Bob" Eugene Toothman, Jr.

Robert Eugene “Bob” Toothman, Jr. age 81 passed from this life on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia after a battle with cancer. 
Bob was born on June 2, 1941 in Marion County, Fairmont, WV, son of the late Robert Eugene Toothman, Sr. and Carrie Elba (Harris) Toothman.  In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Toothman; two sisters, Connie Somers and infant Arlene Toothman; one son, Mark Whetzel; one great grandson baby Hawk.
Bob is survived by his spouse, Wanda (Swick) Whetzel Toothman whom he married on June 14, 2008; two sons Robert C. Toothman (Debra) of Fairview, WV, Kim Toothman (Barb) of Petersburg, WV; one sister, Marion Philpott of Underwood, Indiana; one brother, Rodney Toothman (Martha) of Port Allen, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Carole Toothman of Parkersburg, WV; one daughter, Beth Hall (Michael) of Petersburg, WV; four grandchildren, Miranda Wratchford (Logan), Madison Hall (Kolten), Matthew Hall and Marshall Hall; three great granddaughters, Lakeleigh, Saige and Kynleigh;  three aunts, Midge Green, Betty Grant and Nancy Durst and several nieces and nephews.
Bob retired from Peabody Coal Company, Federal No. 2 in Blacksville, WV.  He was a member of Potomac Valley Baptist Church where he served as trustee. Bob  loved his family and grand kids, hunting, fishing and playing golf. 
A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Potomac Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Ted Anderson officiating.
