Rita Elizabeth Arbaugh

Rita Elizabeth Arbaugh, 61, of Whitmer, West Virginia passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023.

She was born August 16, 1961 at Elkins, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Shelva “Sis” Cross and Ronald L. Cross of Beverly, West Virginia.

She was a store manager of 7-11, and worked at Canaan Valley Lodge. She was a member of the Whitmer United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School.

On September 7, 1977, she married Stephenson “Steve” Arbaugh, who preceded her in death on February 13, 2022. A grandson, Caleb Steven Luke Arbaugh, preceded her in death on December 31, 2019, and a brother, Ronald Cross and a sister, Edna Cross, also predeceased her.

A Number of Nieces and Nephews and her Sunday School Children

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Whitmer United Methodist Church, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 29.

Interment will be at the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Whitmer.
