Richard Glenn Killingsworth

Richard Glenn Killingsworth, 96, husband of Bertha Asbury Killingsworth passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at his residence in Verona.

Richard was born on December 3, 1926, in Hopemont, WV to the late Frederick “Fred” Brown and Mimey Bertha Hammons Killingsworth.

Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Navy in World War II. He was an accomplished, professional barber for most all of his life and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his loving wife is survived by his sons, David Lynn, Gary Lee, and Robert Glenn Killingsworth and his wife, Marian, and Terry Richard Burchett; his daughter, Michelle Renee Burchett Stullenburg; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Orville Edward, Clayton Currence, and Eugene Killingsworth.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Lawhorn officiating.

Interment with United States Navy military honors will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
