Ray Kopp

It is with great sadness that the family of Ray Kopp announce his passing on Monday August 19, 2024. He was 75 years old. Ray cherished time with his family, his hobbies, and his career. He truly loved the 47-year career he had at Resources for The Future, where he became a world expert in economic policy related to climate change. He was a competitive member in the SCCA paddock, racking up multiple championships with his son at the wheel. Anything Ray put his mind to was done with whole heart and everything he had. He spent his last few years living close to his children and grandchildren in Afton, VA, where he turned his attention towards his Bonsai and enjoying the mountain views from his porch. He was happy and content. The family will honor him by returning his ashes to the universe in scenery that he enjoyed. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Linda, his children Kristin Kopp (Ryan Moran), Kevin Kopp (Kirsten Kopp), and his grandchildren Warren Kopp and Clara Kopp.
