Priscilla Varner

September 1, 1943 - July 29, 2026

Priscilla Mae Varner, 82, of Fishersville, Virginia, went to her heavenly home on July 29, 2026, in Fishersville.

Priscilla was born on September 1, 1943. She was married to the love of her life, Roy Varner Jr., who preceded her in death on December 21, 2023. After many years of dedicated service, Priscilla retired from her career as a bank teller.

A longtime member of Fishersville United Methodist Church, Priscilla lived her faith through a life of service, kindness, and unconditional love. She devoted many years to helping coordinate Operation Christmas Child and faithfully volunteered wherever she was needed. She had a special heart for those who could no longer physically attend church and often took the time to visit them, ensuring they continued to feel loved, remembered, and connected to their church family.

Priscilla treasured the time she spent with her family and her church family. Faithful, loving, and selfless, she loved people unconditionally and was always willing to help others. Her compassion, generosity, and devotion to those around her will be remembered by everyone whose life she touched.

Priscilla is survived by her son, Michael Varner; her daughter, Teresa Varner; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by many extended family members, church family members, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Fishersville United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fishersville United Methodist Church or Samaritan’s Purse in honor of Priscilla’s lifelong commitment to faith and service.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Fishersville United Methodist Church and to the many family members and friends who offered Priscilla their love, friendship, care, and support.
