Paul Blick

Paul James Blick, 78, of Strasburg, VA passed away on May 14, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. 

Paul was born April 30, 1947, the oldest of four children of Paul E. and Augusta
LeGrand Blick of Patton, PA. He made his home with Mary Elizabeth Whitehair, who he married on October 7, 2023.  After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force. Serving during the Vietnam era, he earned the rank of Sergeant. During his life, he lived in PA, Michigan, Nevada, and Virginia. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating and fishing. He worked as a ranger for DNR at Black Moshannon State Park PA. For over the past twenty years, he served as a park ranger with Frederick Co. VA Parks and Rec. Days before his passing, he expressed how much he valued that job and his coworkers. He had hoped he would have been able to return to work with them. Locally, he was a member of the Moose, Eagles, and the American Legion.  

He is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth Whitehair Blick; son Anthony (Ellen) Read; daughter Kellie (George) Grayshaw, and grandson Bryce Grayshaw; brothers Randy (Linda) Blick and Ken Blick; his sister Barbara Campbell; his stepdaughter Gina (John) Stetter and step-grandsons John Paul, Maxx, and Ben Xavier; and stepdaughter Rachael (Scott) Van Atta. Also left behind to remember his
kindness and good nature are co-workers from “the Park”, friends, and extended family members. He is predeceased by his parents; wife Mary Agnes (Ropp Turko) Blick; stepdaughter, Jaime Rae; and sister-in-law Annette Blick.

A Memorial Celebration will be held at 11:30 a.m. on May 22, 2025, at Queen Street Community Center, Strasburg, VA. 

Graveside service and interment of cremains will be held this summer at St.
Lawrence Church, Patton, PA.
