Parker Moquin

October 5, 2003 - January 6, 2024

Parker Alan Moquin, 20, of Fishersville, passed away on January 6, 2024. Parker was born at Augusta Health in Fishersville, on October 5, 2003, the beloved son of Cheryl and Jeramie Fortune and Adam and Ashley Moquin.

Parker was a 2022 graduate of Wilson Memorial High School and had recently started a new career at Virginia Panel. He was filled with excitement and eagerness about this new opportunity. In addition, Parker worked at Amazon in Waynesboro, where he served as a learning ambassador and had special relationships.

Parker will be remembered for his passion for food. He enjoyed good company and appreciated the art of culinary delights in a profound way. Parker also had a deep love for nature and found solace in the mountains and oceans.

Parker was an active member of the Fishersville Baseball league for numerous years, playing the sport he loved and his continued support to his siblings. Those who knew Parker will always remember his gentle soul and beautiful smile. Everyone that knew Parker will never forget his willingness to lend a helping hand. Parker was loving and supportive to his family and his presence will be greatly missed by all.

Parker will be deeply missed by his siblings, Alissa Moquin, Landon Moquin, Barbara McDowell of Dayton, Ohio and Barbara Seay, of Staunton and his grandparents, Chong McDowell of Fishersville, Timothy McDowell of Winchester, Tommy and Belinda Fortune of Stuarts Draft, and Christine Moquin of Waynesboro. Parker was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alan Moquin.

Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, siblings and grandparents are his special aunts and uncles, Sabina and her husband, Bryan Curry of Stuarts Draft, Shannon McDowell of Fishersville, Ken and Donita McCormick-Fortune of Waynesboro, John and Christy Smith of Fort Defiance, and Jeff Moquin of Charleston, South Carolina. He also shared a special relationship with his family pets, Malu and Boo’s.

A celebration of Parker's life will be held at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend and share his beautiful life.
