Pamyla Moore Tutwiler

Pamyla Moore Tutwiler, 79, of Rockingham County, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Martha Jefferson Hospital.

Pamyla was born on November 10, 1946, and was a daughter of Albert D. Moore and Zelda R. Moore of Harrisonburg.

Pamyla was a committed nurse, and she cared for thousands of patients over her nursing career. She graduated in 1968 from the School of Nursing at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. She began her career as a registered nurse working at RMH and then moved into home health care. For the final chapter of her career, she served as Assistant Director of Nursing at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community

She was a devoted wife and mother. She was married to Charles N. Tutwiler, II, for 42 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Amanda Tutwiler and sister Martha “Gigi” Williams of Richmond, VA. She was preceded in death by her brother David Moore.
