Oliver Grove Weaver
Oliver Grove Weaver, 91, husband of Freda (Stalter) Weaver, of View Drive in Stuarts Draft, Virginia, began his peaceful and pain-free eternity with his Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Weaver was born on April 7, 1933 in Waynesboro, Virginia, a son of the late Franklin Earl and Katie Ethel (Grove) Weaver.
Mr. Weaver served faithfully in many capacities and is loved by many families at White Hill Church of the Brethren and the Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship, the church where Oliver and Freda raised their family.
In addition to his parents, Oliver was preceded in death by an infant son, Freeman Weaver; and two brothers, Marion Weaver and Dwight Weaver.
Surviving in addition to his wife of seventy one years are five children, Karen Unger (Dick), Miriam Weaver (Robbie Campbell), Betsy Shafer (Ron), Helen Cash (Dave) and Harley Weaver (Lezlie); many grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one-great-great grandchild; siblings, Alice Boppe (Charles-deceased), Daniel Weaver (Frances), Maggie Brenneman (Jim), and Orpha Beyeler (Darrell-deceased); a sister-in-law, Judy Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.
We will celebrate Oliver’s life at a graveside service, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in the Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship Cemetery.
Following the graveside service we will continue to celebrate Oliver’s life with a time of fellowship and sharing in the fellowship hall at Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship.
