Neva Mae Riggleman Wagoner

September 24, 1937 - May 16, 2023

Neva Mae (Riggleman) Wagoner, age 85 of Petersburg, WV went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at her home after a brief illness. 
Neva was born on September 24, 1937 in Moorefield, WV and was a daughter of the late Brown Gap Riggleman and Dale Leora (Barr) Riggleman. 
In addition to her parents, Neva was preceded in death by five brothers, Olin Riggleman, Loring “Short” Riggleman, Freeman “Buck” Riggleman, Troy Riggleman and John Mark Riggleman; and two sisters, Damie Wratchford and JoAnn Monnett. 
Neva is survived by her husband of 67 years, James R. Wagoner Sr.
Three sons: James Richard Wagoner, Jr. of Petersburg, WV, Kenneth Lee Wagoner and wife Teresa of Castle Hayne, NC and Ricky Lynn Wagoner of Wilmington, NC.
Two granddaughters:  Nicole M. Wagoner of Newport, NC and Rebecca L. Wagoner of Castle Hayne, NC.
Three sisters:  Bernice Riggleman of Berkeley Springs, WV, Verna Riggleman of Summersville, WV and Sue Keefer of Green Spring, WV.
One brother:  Tom Riggleman and wife Ann of Berkeley Springs, WV
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. 
Neva was a graduate of Romney High School class of  1956. Neva was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She adored her furbaby, Missy, who adored her also.  She held a special place in her heart for a dear family that became an integral part of her life:  Debra “Sissy” Barron, Colby Willetts and Chris Barron.  Because of her nurturing spirit, she affectionately became known as “Nan”.  She will be greatly missed.
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.   A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
