Nancy S. Redifer

CHURCHVILLE – Nancy Sheffer Redifer, 78, of Moffett Branch Road, died Wednesday (October 11, 2023) in Shenandoah House.

Born March 28, 1945 in Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Viola Catherine (Michael) Sheffer. She was a graduate of North River High School and was employed by Trimbles Cleaners prior to retirement. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley “Pooter” Redifer. Surviving are four children, Douglas Redifer and wife Jill, Donald Redifer and wife Jeannie, Patrick Redifer and Patricia Redifer; a brother, Robert Sheffer, three sisters, Geraldine Cook, Rita Yorro and Dolly Long; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 14 in Parnassus United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastors John Christophel and Dan Lam. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Bear Funeral Home.
