Nancy Jane Cupp

September 16, 1939 - August 17, 2026

Born Nancy Jane Hall on Spet. 16, 1939, Nancy grew up in rural Rockingham County, VA. She married her high school sweetheart, Orville Cupp, on June 11, 1955. She was a devoted wife and mother.

For many years, she raised children and supported her husband with his business, NC Tool, which he had named after her. She was a very industrious homemaker - cooking and cleaning, making clothing for herself and her children, and canning fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed traveling, growing flowers, watching the animals in her yard, and feeding and watching the birds (especially the hummingbirds).

She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 12, 1957, so she also enjoyed telling people about how God through his Kingdom will soon make the earth a paradise and remove all of mankind's problems - including sickness and death. )Matthew 6:9, 10, Revelation 21:3, 4)

Talking about her 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren always brought a smile to her face. She will be sorely missed by those she is survived by. Nancy is also survived by seven children, Steven Cupp, Ray (Tammy) Cupp, Laveda Cupp, Tim (Tracy) Cupp, Jane (Brandon) Caricofe, Jason Cupp, and Paul Cupp; two brothers, Ricky Long, and Bobby Long; a sister, Mary Murphy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She died peacefully on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026.

Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 427 Cattle Scales Rd, Waynesboro, VA 22890, on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026 at 4 PM.

Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes.
