Nancy Bailey

Nancy Lois (Tally) Wiseman Bailey, 90, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Shenandoah House.

She was born on June 21, 1936 and was a daughter of the late William B. and Lucy (Plecker) Talley.

Nancy had worked as the bookkeeper and was co-owner of Wiseman Moble Home Park. She was a member of Moscow Covenant Brethren Church. She enjoyed sewing, and was a wonderful cook and homemaker.

Nancy was united in marriage on March 26, 2000 to Walter A. Bailey, who preceded her in death on May 27, 2013.

Nancy is survived by her children, Shirley Jarrells and husband William "Bill", Preston (Wiseman and wife Ellen, and Mark Mills, of Woodbridge; her grandchildren, Serena Wiseman & fiance' Brandon Elyard, Betsy Jarrells, Katie Jarrells, and Trey Jarrells; and her great granddaughter, Emerie Elyard (who brought her great joy) and a great grandson on the way.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anetha Wiseman.

A service celebrating Nancy's life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Moscow Covenant Brethren Church with Pastor Darren Howdyshell officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Mausoleum & Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater.
