Myrtle L. Glenn
VERONA – Myrtle Loraine (Terry) Glenn, 90, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Myrtle was born in Mount Solon on April 9, 1935 to the late Guilford Elwood and Elizabeth Catherine (Brockway) Terry.
She was employed in the deli department of Walmart in Staunton for many years, and had previously worked for Genesco. Myrtle was devoted to her family. She expressed her love for them in many ways, and especially enjoyed blessing them with her cooking and her baking. She was a long-time member of Grace Bible Church.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Rufus Glenn; a sister, Anna Susan Terry Sheffer; and two brothers, Ernest Harold Terry and Donald Lee Terry.
She is survived by three children, Carol Craig of Staunton, Donna Cash of Verona, and Stephen Douglas Glenn of Lexington; a sister, Helen Breeden of Swoope; a brother, Ronald Terry of Staunton; seven grandchildren, Lisa Craig, Danny Craig, Tommy Simmons, Chris Glenn, James Cash, Angelica Cash-Ross and Nicole Glenn; 12 great-grandchildren, Ronnie Simmons, Tommy Simmons, Alexis Simmons, Destiny Simmons, Jaden Cash, Penelope Cash, Kayla Glenn, Andrew Glenn, Kirstan Easter Kierra Balser, James Cash and Wyatt Glenn; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 15 in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens, officiated by Rev. Corey Smallwood. Active pallbearers will be Tommy Simmons, Ronald Lee Simmons, Thomas W. Simmons Jr., Chris Glenn, James Cash III and Vincent Ross.
The family will receive friends from 7 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Bear Funeral Home.
