Mildred Aleen Mowery Orndorff

Mildred Aleen Mowery Orndorff, 101, of Strasburg, VA passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home in Woodstock, VA. Mrs. Orndorff was born in Middletown, VA on December 19, 1924, a daughter of the late Jasper Newton and Hyla Marie Himelright Mowery. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and was a caregiver for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Walter Orndorff, two sons David Lee Orndorff and Michael Lee Orndorff, a sister Hazel Marie Birmingham along with a stepsister and several stepbrothers. Survivors include her two grandsons William Michael Orndorff and Christopher Lee Orndorff along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service for Mrs. Orndorff will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2026, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Lock officiating. Immediately following the service Mrs. Orndorff will be laid to rest by her late husband in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Monday one hour prior to the service.
