Melvin Richard "Cork" Bradley
Melvin Richard “Cork” Bradley, 88, husband of Treva (Randolph) Bradley of Stuarts Draft, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Retreat of Fishersville.
He was born on February 14, 1935 in Augusta County, a son of the late Arthur D. Bradley and Lorena (Wright) Bradley.
Mr. Bradley proudly served in the United States Air Force prior to a career with Genicom. Following retirement, “Corky” retired to his true passion of farming. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Staunton Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sheryl Randolph Bradley; three brothers, Junior, Weldon and Harry; and three sisters, Geneva, Mary and Margie.
Surviving in addition to his wife of seventy years, is his pride and joy, a daughter, Pam Bradley of Charlottesville; a sister, Ada Henkel of Waynesboro; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bernie and Kathy Gardner and their families.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor Walter B. Failies, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bernie Gardner, Guy D. Brooks, Brian Harris, Ronnie Truxell, John Hailey, Roger Stover, Elliott Boyd, Todd Bradley, Bill Fainter and Jamie Wright.
The family will receive visitors at any time at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his honor to Calvary United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 2179 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft,
Virginia 24477 or the Alzheimer’s Foundation, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 1001.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
