Maynard "Andy" C. Pierce

Maynard "Andy" Clair Pierce, 92, husband of Julia Helen McCoy Pierce, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2023 at The Retreat in Fishersville.
He was born in Great Valley, NY on September 10, 1931 to the late Orie Edwin Pierce and Zella May Lockard Pierce.Andy had a passion for helping others and was an active member of the American Legion Post 13. In his free time, Andy enjoyed pursuing his hobbies of fishing and woodworking. Whether he was casting his line in tranquil waters or crafting beautiful pieces with his hands, these activities brought him immense happiness and allowed him to express his creativity.In addition to his wife, Andy is survived by his loving daughter, Elizabeth A. Pierce Morris and her husband, David; his sisters, Vera Arlene Pierce Anderson and her husband, Harold, and Evelyn LaRue Pierce Frederick; and his grandson, Hunter Ray Morris.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Eugene Pierce and Donald Edwin Pierce; a sister-in-law, Wilda Pierce; and a brother-in-law, Richard Frederick.  A graveside service will be held at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2023 by Reverend Russell Heinrich.  Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 13.
