Mary F. Cline

May 23, 1931 - December 18, 2023

Mary Anna Flory Cline, 92, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at The Retreat at Fishersville.
She was born on May 23, 1931, in Augusta County to the late Walter Raleigh and Nina Katherine Wright Flory.
Mary had an admirable and fulfilling life. She graduated from Weyers Cave High School and later pursued higher education at Bridgewater College.
Throughout her lifetime, Mary cultivated numerous hobbies and interests that brought her joy and fulfillment. She derived immense pleasure from working in her flower garden, witnessing the beauty of nature blossom under her loving care. Additionally, she possessed a remarkable talent for quilting - a skill that she used to create beautiful pieces that are cherished by those fortunate enough to receive them.
Above all else, Mary cherished her role as a devoted wife and grandmother. As a homemaker, she took great pride in creating a warm and loving environment for her family. Her dedication to caring for her husband during his declining years exemplified the depth of her love and commitment.
Mary's kindness and nurturing nature endeared her to all who knew her. She served as an anchor for so many - providing guidance, support, and unwavering love whenever it was needed. Her family remembers her as a constant source of comfort and strength.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Willard Cline and his wife, Candy, Jennifer Sue Cline Robertson, Michael Christian Cline and his wife, Ann, and Bernard ā€œBernieā€ Arlie Cline; her grandchildren, Matthew Cline, Morgan King, Drew and Maribeth Robertson, Alisa Berry, Lindsey Cline, and Ben Cline; eight great-grandchildren;Ā as well as numerous extended family members and friends who adored her dearly.
In addition to her parents and her loving husband of 72 years, Willard "Bill" Borden Cline, whom she married on July 15, 1950, she is preceded in death by her brother, David Cline Flory; her sisters, Nancy Catherine Flory Harris, Lois Flory Glover, and Wilda Flory Houff; her niece Linda Flory Stout and her grandson, Joshua "Josh" Aaron Cline.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Staunton Church of the Brethren.
A private graveside will take place at the Middle River Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
It is suggested that those desiring may make memorial contributions to Heifer International (1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202) or to the Staunton Church of the Brethren (1615 North Coalter Street, Staunton, VA 24401).
