Mary D. Casiday

Mary Ann Dingess Casiday, 89, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on May 11, 1937, in Logan County, West Virginia to the late Victor and Dixie Butcher Dingess. Mary was employed by H&R Contractors, Inc. as a commercial cleaner for over twenty years. She was also a former member of Calvary Assembly of God in Staunton. Mary found great joy in cooking and preparing meals for others, often showing her love and care through the food she shared. She also enjoyed a good game of Scrabble, but above all, she treasured the time spent with her family. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Lynn Knicely; her daughter, Christy Knicely Corbin (Dean); her grandchildren, Lauren Knicely Sprouse, Ryan Knicely (Jessica), Elizabeth Knicley Fisher (Brandon), Taylor Knicely (Haley), Josh Knicely, and Erica Knicely Wilson (David); and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Victor Allen Knicely and Gregory Bruce Knicely: her brothers, Charles Arvil Dingess and Mac Arthur Dingess; her sisters, Bonnie Eloise Dingess Howes, Pauline “Polly” Dingess Goodwin, Lois Evelyn Dingess Conrad, Ella Mae Dingess Ingram, and Anetta Carolyn Dingess Shipe. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton. The interment will be private. Henry Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
