Marvin Thomas Thompson

Marvin Thomas Thompson, 68, of Staunton, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. 
Mr. Thompson was born in Virginia on July 12, 1957, a son of the late Mary Dihl and Samuel Benson. 
In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his step-father, Jake Dihl; two brothers, Earl and Jamie Benson; and grandparents, Elmer and Mary Taylor and William and Nettie Newlan.
Surviving, are two brothers, George “Pete” Benson and his wife, Susie, and Samuel “Bo” Benson; a step-sister, Tracy Stroop; a niece, Tiffany Sobszak; and special friend, Larry Dice. 
There will be a family gathering at a later date. 
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
