Margaret Anne Marsh

Margaret Anne Evers Marsh, 92, of Bridgewater, VA passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the Bridgewater Retirement Community.

She was born on March 10, 1931, and was a daughter of the late Riley Evers and Alma Evers.

Margaret was active at Bethesda United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed planning reunions, entertaining at her home and at the Virginia farm. She was active in her community as a Girl Scout Leader in the 1960's, part of the Inner Wheel, a women's organization in the Rotary Club, was a member of PEO and the Garden Club of Bethesda, MD, KD at the University of MD. and was the manager of the gift shop for Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD for numerous years. She looked forward to the winter months, spending time on Siesta Key, FL for over 30 years.

She was united in marriage to Burrell Hyde "Sonny" Marsh, III who preceded her in death on March 15, 2022, after 70 years of marriage.

She is survived by her children, Anne Elizabeth Marsh of Longmont, CO, Sandra Marsh (Michael) Baggett of Beaufort, SC & Burrell Hyde "Skip" Marsh IV of Stephens City, VA.; two grandchildren Graham Marsh & Sam Baggett; five nieces Penny Brooks, Patricia Moon, Priscilla Rose, Betsy Gillian, and Deborah Cavalier.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Hader.

A service celebrating Margaret's life will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Beaver Creek Church with Pastor Ryan Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beaver Creek Church.
