Margaret Alease Propst

Margaret Alease Propst, 85, of Bridgewater, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at her home.

She was born on April 19, 1939 and was a daughter of the late Earl Henry and Virginia Belle (Smiley)Grim.

Margaret had worked at Kmart in Annandale for 25 years and Thomas House for 13 years, before retiring.

Margaret was united in marriage on December 6, 1959 to Jimmie Propst who preceded her in death on September 24, 2003.

Margaret is survived by three daughters, Sherry (James) Kirk, of Rhoadesville, Lisa C. Propst, of Bridgewater, June (Andy) Adams, of Woodbridge; sister, Peggy Shull of Mt. Crawford; brother-in-law, Mike Propst;six grandchildren, Virginia Barrett, Louis Kirk, Paul Kirk, Katie Kirk, Mary Adams, Andrew Adams and six great-grandchildren, Reagan Bienz, Waylan Bienz, Lilly Kirk, Linx Kirk, Hunter Lamb, Levi Kirk.

In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Blanche Losh and Betty Huddle, and two brothers, Charles Grim and Dee Grim.

The family will receive friends between 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater. The casket will be closed.

A funeral service be held at 1:00 PM, on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor James Kirk officiating. Burial will follow at Sangerville Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
