Luke Calvin Henson

Luke Calvin Henson, 80, husband of Linda Faye (Mace) Henson, of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Henson was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 3, 1945, a son of the late William Elijah Henson and Penolia Lodina (Huffstettler) Henson.

Luke was a member of Buena Vista Seventh-day Adventist Church and retired from Western State as an L.P.N. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, working on the farm, and spending time with horses.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Henson was preceded in death by a brother, Mitchell Henson; and a half-sister, Jeanie Garber.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 62 years, are two sons, Duane L. Henson and his wife, Dianne and William E. Henson and his wife, Julie all of Greenville; a brother, Jasper Henson and his wife, Nancy of Colorado; a sister, Jean Torres of Georgia; three grandchildren, Amanda Lopez and her husband, Gustavo, Travis Chittum and his wife, Jessica, and Daniel Henson; eight great-grandchildren, Erica, Billy, Evan, Mayleigh, Mia, Issac, Elijah, and Octavia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Buena Vista Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
