Lucy Etta (Eavey) Riley

Lucy Etta (Eavey) Riley, 79, of Staunton, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. 
Ms. Riley was born in Staunton, Virginia on October 9, 1945, a daughter of the late Raymond Archie Eavey and Mary Clay (Simmons) Eavey. 
Lucy was a lifelong member of Barren Ridge Church and enjoyed crafting and sewing in her free time. 
In addition to her parents, Ms. Riley was preceded in death by a sister, Judy (Eavey) Roberts. 
Surviving, are two sons, Bobby G. Riley, Jr. and Alan W. Riley, both of Waynesboro; two daughters, Catherine Strickler and her husband, Kevin of Mt. Solon and Barbara K. Johnson of Concord, N.C.; two brothers, Wesley Eavey and his wife, Linda of Waynesboro and Wayne Eavey of Staunton; eight grandchildren, Nicole Davis and her husband, Jon, Brittany Johnson, McKenzie McWaters and her husband, Kennedy, Caroline Strickler, Marybeth Jobe and her husband, Dalton, Brandon Riley, Christian Riley, and Cody Riley; three great-grandchildren, Charlie Johnson, Hazel McCray, and Aspen Morris; and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Lisa Camden. 
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Barren Ridge Church Cemetery by Pastor Galen Combs.
The family will receive friends following the service. 
Active pallbearers will Jeff Camden, Allan Johnson, Kevin Strickler, Dalton Jobe, Joshua Pullin and Chris Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers will be P.J. Wright, Bobby Kester, Jessie Kester, and Jared Pullin.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
