Loyd Lynwood Swecker

Loyd Lynwood Swecker, 94, of Bridgewater, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at his home.

He was born on April 4, 1929 and was a son of Georgie (Swecker) Taylor.

Loyd had retired on Coke-Cola, and was a avid Nascar fan.

Loyd is survived by two daughters, Anna Marie Jones and husband, R. Michael, of Rural Retreat, and Kathy Starick of Harrisonburg; four grandchildren, R. Michael Jones, Brandon Jones, Pamela Smith, and Lacy Stajduhar; nine great-grandchildren; cousin, Kaye Swecker; niece, Stacey; caregiver, Tammie Myers; special friends, Larry and Bobby Whetzel and Taylor Whetzel.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Boyd Swecker, Sam Taylor, Jr., and David Ellis Taylor.

A graveside service celebrating Loyd's life will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Beaver Creek Church Cemetery, with David Kite officiating.
