Louise H. Wootson

GOSHEN – Louise H. Wootson, age 85, of Goshen, went to Heaven on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Her favorite saying was, “one day at a time.”

She was born July 10, 1937 to the late Wilson and Lula (Sprouse) Weaver. She graduated from Craigsville High School.

Our momma was an excellent cook and worked in various restaurants and camps through the years upon retiring from Rockbridge High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jr. Wootson; and son Gary Hinkle. She will be with them for Christmas.

She is survived by her two daughters, Pam Mawyer and husband Ralph, and Fern Plecker and husband Timmy, sisters Ellen Back, Doris Spradlin, Judy Morris, and Diane Flesher; grandchildren Roy Lee, Brandon, Gina, Katrina, Stacey, Josh, Cheyenne and Cody; and six great-grandchildren.

She loved her family and her extended families: the Joe Minter family, the Lawhorns and the Tolleys, and her very best friend, Deloris Minter.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 Tuesday morning at Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery, Goshen, Virginia. All are welcome.
