Louis Louis Spenyovics III

He was born on October 25th, 1947 to the late Louis Joseph Spenyovics II and Annie Mae (O’Berry) Spenyovics. Joe was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving as an aviation mechanic in the late 60’s to early 70’s before transitioning to a civilian career, working for the Department of the Navy as an aviation mechanic at the Naval Air Depot, in Norfolk, VA. Joe also worked as a Cardiac Tech for the Bennets Creek Rescue Squad in Suffolk, VA for over 20 years.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Ann Spenyovics, as well as an infant daughter, “Baby Spenyovics” in 1974.

He is survived by his children, Michelle Taylor of Staunton, Tracy Goodson with husband Michael of Sherando, and Louis Spenyovics IV of Portsmouth. In addition, Joe is survived by his grandchildren, Madison Spenyovics, Brooklynn Spenyovics, Katherine Goodson and Megan Goodson; as well as his sisters, Linda McNeil with husband James and Loretta Kiff.

In his spare time, Joe attended the Altamaha Baptist Church and was a member of the Churchland Masonic Lodge.

A graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 21st, 2023 with Pastor Bill Jones of Glovier Memorial United Methodist Church officiating.
