Lola McDonald

Lola Belle McDonald, 80, of Strasburg, VA passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Lynn Care of Front Royal, VA. 

At the request of Mrs. McDonald, services and burial will be conducted privately.  

Mrs. McDonald was born in the Wheatfield community of Shenandoah County, VA on June 11, 1943, a daughter of the late Fitzhugh Lee and Elizabeth Katherleen Lindamood Pingley.  She had a strong Christian faith, loved to crochet, knit, and cook.  She was a long-time member of the former Strasburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Ray McDonald, Jr.; a son Tony McDonald; siblings Frances Lee Pingley, Mary Alice Pingley, Daryl Bauserman and her twin sister, Lula Mae Pingley Stokes.

Survivors include her son Howard McDonald and wife Lisa of Strasburg, VA; her grandchildren Shaunie McDonald Kittinger (Kevin), Maranda McDonald Fadeley (Dustin); her great-granddaughter Isabella Kittinger; a daughter-in-law Denise McDonald; siblings Bessie Pingley Clem and Ernie Pingley (Ann); a sister-in-law Marcy Bauserman along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
