Linda Lane Puffenbarger Malcom

Linda Lane Puffenbarger Malcom, 76, of Covington, Virginia left this earthly life on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 while a patient at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia.

She was born December 8, 1947 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and was the only child of the late Harvey C. Puffenbarger and Glenna Todd Puffenbarger of Sugar Grove, West Virginia. 

She graduated from Franklin High School in 1966, married Garet Malcom on August 3, 1968, and moved to Covington.  She completed a CNA course at Dabney S. Lanchester Community College in 1985 and was a nursing assistant.  She was a member of Covington Grace Brethren Church, and having accepted Jesus as her personal savior, she is now enjoying her heavenly home. 

Surviving in addition to her husband of 55 years are –

Tricia Malcom of North Chesterfield, VA

And a number of cousins

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 1:30 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.  

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 30 at Sugar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Dan Gillette officiating.
