Linda Kay Johnson

Linda Johnson, 78, of Bridgewater, VA passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Blue Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing in Harrisonburg.

Ms. Johnson was born in Youngstown, OH and was the daughter of the late Rex and Marion Johnson. She spent much of her youth in Ashtabula, OH.

She earned an Associates of Arts degree from Kent State and worked with disadvantaged youth. Linda then spent time taking care of her mother Marion before moving to Bridgewater, VA in 1997.

Linda was a member of Harrisonburg First Assembly of God Church, her faith and being a prayer warrior were a priority in her life. She also enjoyed painting, other crafts and reading.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Johnson and a nephew, Michael Johnson.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Carol Johnson of Locust Grove, VA; two nephews, Eric Johnson and wife Jenny of Allentown, PA, Ken Johnson and wife Margaret of Locust Grove, VA; two nieces, Debbie Pattison and husband Craig, of Harrisonburg, VA, and Kris Maran of Locust Grove, VA, along with 40 loved great and great-great grand nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating Linda's life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Harrisonburg First Assembly of God with Pastor Trevor Whetzel officiating.
