Linda Fisher

Linda Dale Fisher, 74, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Augusta Health. She was born in Waynesboro on February 23, 1951, a daughter of the late Homer Preston and Ann Bradford (Helmick) Fisher.

Linda was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. She loved working in her flower gardens, spending time with family, and her fur babies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her long-time best friend, Gary Houghtaling, Sr. and sister, Judy Fisher.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Rodney Houghtaling (Sarah), Scotty Bunch, Gary Houghtaling, Jr. (Tonya), and Matthew Houghtaling (Megan); daughter, Naomi Houghtaling (Lionel); 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brothers, Homer Lee Fisher and Larry Fisher; sister, Anita Pullin; special friends, Lori Groah and Linda Lucas; her fur babies: Pixie, Tutu, Lilly, and Acey Girl; as well as extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home with Pastors Steve Stevens and Levi Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Lionel Strother, Weldon Strother, James Smith, William Smith, Robert Smith, and Thomas Smith.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
