Linda Darlene McCarthy

Linda Darlene McCarthy, 66, of New Market, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Sentara RMH Medical Center.

She was born on May 5, 1958 and was a daughter of the late Ellnora C. Senger.

Linda graduated from Buffalo Gap H.S. and JMU with her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She had worked as a Registered Nurse at Augusta Health, retiring in 2016.

Linda was united in marriage to Jeffrey McCarthy, who preceded her in death.

Linda is survived by two children, Cristina Bowman, of New Market and Jonathan Smith; two grandchildren, Ka'leah Smith, Brynleigh Hensley and beloved pet companion, Bridget.

In addition to her spouse and mother, she was preceded in death by Aunt Betty Senger.

The family will receive friends between 6:00 to 7:00 PM, on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.
